Audio Record Wizard does not work. Why?

In order to let Audio Record Wizard work properly, you need to select the appropriate recording device before recording. To learn the basics in using the product, you can read this text tutorial, and this video tutorial.

If you are not sure which device should be selected, let us know what kind of source you would like to record from, and click Options->System->Open log file, copy and paste its content to us. We will give you some suggestion.

"No Capture Client Unknown error 0x88890004", What does this mean?

The selected recording device does not work properly. In most cases we met, this is caused by selecting a wrong device.

If you are not sure which device should be selected, let us know what kind of source you would like to record from, and click Options->System->Open log file, copy and paste its content to us. We will give you some suggestion.

"No Capture Client Unknown error 0x88890017", What does this mean?

0x88890017 is about CPU usage problem. There might be some other media software that takes too much CPU usage, or sound card driver does not work normally.

Suggestions:
1) Reboot your computer, do some test recording without running too many software at the same time.
2) Please visit the web site of the sound card's manufacturer to see if there is a upgrade for your sound card driver.

For some reason I cannot adjust volume, cannot see the little red arrow. Why?

Some digital recording device may not provide a volume controller.

No "Stereo Mix" on my computer, Why?

Some on-board sound module does not include an analog hardware for recording internal sound sources. If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7, Audio Record Wizard 7 series can record what is playing through "Speakers".

The procedure entry point encodepointer could not be located in the dynamic link library kernel 32.dll

Windows XP service packs 2 provided a security update on KERNEL32.dll, and Microsoft suggest to enable these new security features in the software since then.

Please upgrade your Windows XP to service packs 2 or 3. If you do not want to upgrade your system, You can try the older version of Audio Record Wizard.
